Author Participation FAQ
-
Embers, Leaves, & Lines is a curated, book-centered event focused on meaningful author to reader connections. It’s designed to feel warm, intentional, and literary, not rushed or salesy.
-
This event is ideal for authors who enjoy connecting with readers, discussing their work, and participating in a slower, more thoughtful book-buying experience. Attendees are primarily adult readers who value story, craft, and discovering new voices.
-
Authors will get a 5 minute time slot to read a passage from their book. During the break times, authors may sell books, sign copies, and engage directly with readers. The layout and pacing are intentionally designed to encourage conversation and genuine interaction.
-
Simply pay the participation fee of $50 to get your guaranteed spot.
-
All authors must arrive at least one hour before the event begins to allow time for setup. Each author will be assigned a 6ft table space; authors are responsible for bringing their own table, and one chair will be provided.
Authors may sell one book or their entire written works. Any passages selected for readings, signage, or promotion must be family-friendly, as this is a mixed-age event.
Participation also includes helping promote the event through social media, email newsletters, or other reasonable channels. This is a collaborative event, and shared promotion supports all participating authors.
As a thank-you, each author will receive a goody bag. These guidelines are in place to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for both authors and attendees. Failure to meet arrival, setup, or content expectations may result in removal from the event without refund.
